Feb. 02, 1963 – Cigar Smoking Mrs. Lister – of the L.C.C. King Size – for a day.: Mrs. Unity Lister usually smokes 10 miniature cigars a day . Yesterday she was nominated for a King Size job – and she celebrated with a King Size cigar. her name was put forward for the deputy chairmanship of London County Council.

Said 49 year old Mrs. Lister ‘When I gave up smoking cigarettes 10 years ago I switched to a pipe – but I didn’t like that so I tried a cigar- and liked it.’ She has been smoking cigar ever since. Mrs. Lister, who was first elected to the L.C.C. in 1949, is a Conservative member for West Woolwich.
